Services include, but are not limited to:
MEDICATION & TREATMENT
Giving medicines by injection/through a drip e.g., antibiotics, immune boosters, etcetera
Nebulization treatments
Monitoring for side effects or reactions to medicines e.g., post chemotherapy
Assisting with other prescribed treatment your doctor orders at home
TUBE & DEVICE CARE
Urinary catheter insertion, change & care
Activation & flushing of chemo ports, central & PICC lines
Tracheostomy care & suctioning
Managing surgical drains post surgery (e.g., chest drains
NG tube - insertion & care
PEG tube - cleaning & maintenance
DRIPS & HYDRATION
IV hydration therapy
Vitamin infusions (e.g., B-complex)
Electrolyte (important body salts) replacement therapy
Special nutrition through a vein (Total parenteral Nutrition - TPN)
WOUND CARE
Changing dressings for cuts, ulcers, or sores
Taking care of surgical wounds after an operation
